Wow! Where did August go?
Can you believe that we’re slowing creeping towards fall? Yikes! With it though, comes dressing for fall which is, by far, my favourite style season.
If you’re like me, and love to layer and mixing prints during fall, you’ll certainly love these looks.
This look reminds me of the creative, Marketing/PR girl… on her way to work perhaps. I love that this jacket can be dressed up or down. It would look great with either a bold colour scarf or floppy hat – it’s really that versatile and NOT too bold of a print for your fabulous self. I love mixing rich colours together – like this bright fuschia and lightly patterned canary yellow blouse. Be bold. Yes, everyday.
Who doesn’t want to wear pajama pants out and about town? Well, I don’t BUT I do want to be comfortable yet stylish. This soft pajama-inspired pant is the perfect way to achieve this. I’d avoid smoking slippers with this – that’ll make it look too pajama-y. Did you happen to notice the layering that I’ve got going on in this outfit? You should. If this feels like too much for you, take off one of those layers.
If you’re one of those people who only knows about sweat pants and formal work wear – and nothing in between – this is an outfit for you (yes, talking to you). THIS is how you do casual for fall ladies. These are the same few garments you normally put on but they are not sweats or hoodies. This plaid pant is the perfect transition pant for fall/winter. I’m showing these pants with a beaded sweater and a floral printed bomber jacket. Try it. You won’t know you like it until you try. If that feels too much for you, opt for a solid colour.
Enjoy the long weekend. I sure will. :)
